Vessel Masters Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of Vessel Masters, including the website, application, dashboards, communications, documents, training features, dispatch tools, JobPort, Credential Management, Greenhorns, MentorShip, weather and safety tools, invitations, operational directories, and related services. Vessel Masters is owned and operated by Przak Incorporated.

By creating an account, accepting an invitation, uploading information, using a feature, or continuing to access the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you use Vessel Masters on behalf of a company, union, school, provider, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.

Who These Terms Protect

These Terms are intended to protect Vessel Masters, Przak Incorporated, and their owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, operators, administrators, affiliates, service providers, licensors, partners, agents, and representatives. Those protected parties may rely on the rights, limitations, disclaimers, and protections in these Terms.

Platform Purpose

Vessel Masters provides practical maritime operations tools for credentials, profile readiness, dispatch access, JobPort opportunities, training, weather awareness, incident readiness, sea-time documentation requests, MentorShip, invitations, and administrative workflows.

Vessel Masters supports maritime work, but it does not replace official government systems, Coast Guard or TSA requirements, company records, union rules, dispatch rules, emergency command, professional judgment, legal advice, medical advice, or required regulatory instruction.

Accounts, Roles, And Access

Users are responsible for accurate account information, secure passwords, correct contact details, and lawful use of their assigned role. Vessel Masters may limit, suspend, revoke, or change access if an account appears inaccurate, inactive, unsafe, fraudulent, misused, unauthorized, or inconsistent with platform rules.

Credentials And Document Uploads

Credential Management helps users upload, track, review, and manage maritime credential records. Users are responsible for uploading accurate, lawful, complete, current, and readable documents. Platform review does not guarantee government acceptance, employer acceptance, dispatch eligibility, union eligibility, hiring, seniority, or regulatory compliance.

Do not upload documents you are not authorized to share. Do not upload medical records, drug test results, Social Security cards, or other highly sensitive documents unless a specific Vessel Masters workflow clearly requests that information and explains why it is needed.

CG Forms, MMC Support, And Regulatory Materials

Vessel Masters may help prepare draft Coast Guard forms or form packages, including CG-719B and limited profile-filled portions of CG-719K. Users remain responsible for reviewing every form, confirming all answers, obtaining required documentation outside the platform when applicable, paying required fees, and submitting materials through the correct official channel.

Vessel Masters does not guarantee issuance, renewal, approval, processing speed, or acceptance by the National Maritime Center, an REC, TSA, the Coast Guard, Pay.gov, or any government agency.

Training, Courses, And Paid Access

Training tools may include paid courses, flashcards, flashing light communication, practice tools, quizzes, provider courses, and course access periods. Unless a course expressly states otherwise, Vessel Masters training is educational and professional development content, not a government-issued license, endorsement, certificate, or substitute for required approved training.

Dispatch, Job Call, JobPort, And Work Opportunities

Dispatch and Job Call tools support union-associated job call workflows when a union and user have the required access. JobPort is a separate job marketplace for non-union postings and company opportunities. Vessel Masters does not guarantee job availability, job awards, hiring decisions, wages, benefits, dispatch eligibility, union membership, seniority, company seniority, or continued employment.

Sea-Time Letters And Company Records

Vessel Masters may help members request sea-time letters from companies and may help companies draft or respond with sea-time documentation. Official sea-time documentation remains the responsibility of the company or employer issuing the letter.

Weather, Safety, Incident Command, And Emergency Response

Weather, marine advisory, safety reminder, incident command, and emergency response tools are informational and operational support features. Vessel Masters does not control emergencies, dispatch emergency resources, command vessels, replace incident command, or replace lawful instructions from public authorities.

Regional emergency response notifications are optional. Opting in does not guarantee work, deployment, compensation, assignment, or selection for any response need.

MentorShip

MentorShip is a voluntary guidance feature that can help mariners build confidence, practical know-how, leadership, morale, and professional relationships. MentorShip does not replace company training, official evaluations, required instruction, licensing, credentialing, supervision, or safety obligations.

Directories, Providers, Partners, And Third-Party Services

Vessel Masters may list unions, companies, medical practitioners, drug testing locations, training providers, payment services, weather providers, email providers, SMS providers, government links, and other third-party resources. Listings are provided for convenience and do not automatically mean endorsement, partnership, certification, availability, pricing, quality, or suitability.

Invitations, Referrals, And User Recommendations

Users may invite crew members or maritime colleagues by email or by sharing a personal invitation link only when they have a legitimate relationship with the invitee or a reasonable basis to believe the invitee would welcome the invitation. Endorsements, notes, or recommendations submitted with invitations must be honest, accurate, and not misleading.

Text Message Terms

Vessel Masters may send SMS messages for phone verification, account-related notices, administrator-requested operational alerts, and optional regional emergency response alerts when a member separately opts into those alerts. Message frequency varies based on account activity, verification requests, support needs, and emergency response settings.

Message and data rates may apply. Text STOP to stop SMS messages from the number that contacted you. Text HELP for help or contact support@vesselmasters.com. Consent to optional regional emergency response texts is not required to use other Vessel Masters features. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Email And Platform Notifications

Vessel Masters may send email, in-app, and platform notifications related to account access, verification, invitations, credentials, training, JobPort, dispatch, emergency response, support, feedback, and other operational activity.

User Content And Records

Users retain responsibility for information, documents, files, images, messages, feedback, profile details, job applications, sea-time requests, and other content they submit. You grant Vessel Masters a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, process, transmit, analyze, and use that content as needed to operate, secure, support, audit, improve, and provide the platform.

Feedback And Suggestions

If you submit feedback, suggestions, ideas, issue reports, feature requests, comments, or other input about Vessel Masters, you agree that Vessel Masters may use, copy, modify, publish, distribute, commercialize, or otherwise act on that feedback for any purpose without restriction, attribution, compensation, or obligation to you.

Acceptable Conduct

Users may not misuse the platform, attempt unauthorized access, bypass permissions, upload fraudulent documents, misrepresent credentials, scrape data, send unwanted invitations, interfere with service operation, introduce malware, harass others, impersonate another person, or use Vessel Masters for unlawful, abusive, deceptive, unsafe, or misleading activity.

Privacy, Security, And Auditability

Personal information is handled according to the Privacy Policy. Vessel Masters uses administrative, technical, and operational safeguards, but no internet-connected service can guarantee perfect security. Users are responsible for protecting their own devices, passwords, verification codes, and access tokens.

No Professional, Legal, Medical, Or Regulatory Advice

Vessel Masters may provide forms, checklists, explanations, reminders, readiness indicators, and operational suggestions. Those materials are for convenience and general information only. They are not legal advice, medical advice, tax advice, regulatory advice, safety certification, or a substitute for qualified professional guidance.

Disclaimers

Vessel Masters is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Vessel Masters disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, and uninterrupted operation.

Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Vessel Masters and the protected parties listed in these Terms will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, business interruption, loss of goodwill, regulatory outcomes, employment outcomes, credentialing outcomes, dispatch outcomes, or emergency response outcomes. To the fullest extent allowed by law, total liability will not exceed the greater of the amount paid to Vessel Masters for the specific service giving rise to the claim during the twelve months before the claim or one hundred dollars.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Vessel Masters and the protected parties from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the platform, your content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, your misuse of role-based access, or your interaction with other users or third parties.

Changes, Suspension, And Availability

Vessel Masters may update features, workflows, pricing, access rules, and these Terms as the platform develops. Vessel Masters may suspend, limit, or discontinue any feature or account when needed for security, maintenance, legal compliance, payment issues, misuse, product changes, or operational reasons.

Governing Law And Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. Before filing a claim, users agree to contact Vessel Masters at support@vesselmasters.com and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally, unless emergency relief is required.
